Europäisches Arzneibuch: Neue Ausgaben von Pharmeuropa

Eine aktuelle Auflistung (Stand: Februar 2001, 36 Seiten) der Substanzen, die über ein Zertifikat nach dem Zertifikatsystem des Europäischen Arzneibuchs verfügen, ist enthalten. Hierin sind auch Zertifikate für 59 Stoffe aufgeführt, die auf ihr TSE/BSE-Risiko geprüft wurden:

• 23 für Gelatine
• 19 für Kälberseren
• 2 für Aprotinin
• 2 für Transferrin und weitere
• 13 für verschiedene andere Wirk- oder Hilfsstoffe.

Ein Zertifikat für sauer hergestellte Knochengelatine aus Frankreich bleibt zurückgezogen.

Die neue, 190 Seiten starke Ausgabe von "Pharmeuropa", Vol. 13.3, July 2001, dem Informationsmedium der Europäischen Arzneibuch-Kommission, enthält 68 europäische Monographie-Entwürfe, die bis zum 31. Oktober 2001 kommentiert werden können. Hierunter befinden sich u. a. 7 Monographie-Entwürfe über pflanzliche Drogen bzw. -extrakte, 3 homöopathische Monographien und eine über Anisöl, die zur Diskussion gestellt werden.

Ferner findet sich eine Gegenüberstellung der Bezeichnungen für homöopathisch verwendete Ausgangsstoffe im Europäischen Arzneibuch (englische und lateinische Titel) und der in der Homöopathie gebräuchlichen Bezeichnungen (47 Beispiele).

Weiterhin sind 14 Ergänzungen zu der im Januar 2000 veröffentlichten Liste von Standardausdrücken ("Standard Terms 2000") abgedruckt. Auf 8 Seiten folgt eine Übersicht über Änderungen von Allgemeinen Methoden und Monographien der 4. Ausgabe 2002 des Europäischen Arzneibuchs.

Im Zuge der internationalen Harmonisierung wird eine Veröffentlichung von D. Ganderton - The Use of a "Fine Particle Dose" to Characterise Preparations for Inhalation - zur Diskussion gestellt.

Eine überarbeitete Monographie "Gelatine" wird ausführlich erläutert. Eine aktuelle Auflistung (Stand: Mai 2001, 28 Seiten, enger gedruckt) der Substanzen, die über ein Zertifikat für chemische Reinheit und mikrobiologische Qualität nach dem Zertifikatsystem des Europäischen Arzneibuchs verfügen, ist enthalten (19 Zertifikate wurden nicht erneuert bzw. zurückgezogen). In der Liste sind auch Zertifikate für 107 Stoffe aufgeführt, die auf ihr TSE-Risiko geprüft wurden.
